I want to find a driver that works with my Canon Eos 450D.I searched the web and all I can find is a driver for windows.I really would like a driver for Linux that works and I don't have to mess with the USB port.It is a EOS 450D with a 10.2 MP CCD with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II.(Jiabo)
I have a Nikon Coolpix S780 I purchased at Walmart. I am having a problem trying to get it to work with Xubuntu 12.04. It is a digital camera and came with no CD or driver disk. The guy at Walmart told me that it would come with the software when I connect to the computer. It did and I downloaded it, but it is not working. I cannot find any software for it. Is there a way I can use it without the software? It shows up as a digital camera in Thunar, so I know that the hardware is working. I really need it to work so I can take some pictures. I am very new to Linux. I am using Thunar, 12.04 LTS and my computer is a Dell Optiplex GX 620.(Rick)
The general answer is: it's possible to have the other side of the camera in focus. I've done that with a Nikon Coolpix P500 under Linux. For my microscope it was a little bit difficult though to achieve the exact focus on the other side of the camera. Does anybody with experience in this can give me a hint?
The Barlow lens comes pre-installed on the focuser. It can be easily unscrewed to remove it.(Bernd Ghrken)For Win 8/10 please go to the download section and download the driver Omegon Microstar Camera Setup. Use this instead of the original drivers supplied in the CD-ROM.(Pedro Pereira)
The software that comes with the adapter does not show the aperture value of the lens. You can change the aperture with the Shortcuts function using the same number as you would use with the lens you are using on your camera. The Shortcuts function is available in the main menu. You can also change the aperture with the Custom Settings function. In the camera main menu find Custom Settings and follow the instructions. You can also change the aperture by changing the value of the aperture in the Custom Settings section in the Settings tab of the Omegon Microstar Camera Setup driver.(Pedro Pereira)
Omegon: In Windows 10, the Omegon Microstar software does not automatically detect your camera. In Windows 7 or 8, the Omegon software will not work with the Barlow lens. But if you have the Win 8 or 10 new driver disk, it will work. If you have the Omegon Microstar Camera Setup, it will be installed automatically.
To get a functional software in Windows 10 you can use the Omegon website and download the Omegon Microstar software. The Omegon website has all the necessary software to get started. 827ec27edc
