An alternative you could try is to run the Lubuntu 20.04 installer from the USB drive rather than installing from the Live USB stick, when you get to the partitioning stage you will have the option to install the Lubuntu bootloader on your hard disk rather than the USB drive. This reduces the need for a persistence partition and the use of the full USB drive.

My best guess is that it will work as its a 7th Generation Intel Atom Processor (Celeron N2840) and the Lubuntu iso is from January 2018. Unlike the dedicated 64-bit version the 32-bit version runs on ARM which may account for the delay. The Intel Atom Processor is a 32-bit processor and the Lubuntu installer is 64-bit. I have not tested this myself.

I am using an Acer Aspire P5 laptop. The net works but I have a wired connection and the WiFi doesn't. I am trying to install it on it. I have tried with 17.10 and 18.04.5 and both work fine. Hi, I'm currently running the Lubuntu 20.04.1 (LXQt) Live CD on my EeePC, which came with Windows 8.1, with UEFI. The EeePC has two other 32-bit operating systems, but I don't need them. I want to install Lubuntu 20.04.1. I have Windows 8.1 32-bit on the EeePC, and I would like to install Lubuntu 20.04.1. However, I know that the version of Windows 8.1 that comes with the EeePC is 32-bit. Will this version of Windows 8.1 prevent me from installing Lubuntu 20.04.1? Thanks!
